Mountain View Inn – B&B

The Mountain View Inn is Mentone’s only Inn perched on the edge of Lookout Mountain. The cozy accommodations of the Inn provide guests with breathtaking views of three states. There are four suites available. Each of the four suites has a sofa, table, bed, TV, DVR and a private bathroom.  

Your suite is your private, secluded get-a-way on the edge of Lookout Mountain.

There is a common area downstairs with a kitchenette area consisting of a mini fridge, Keurig coffee pot, microwave, and sink. From the common area, you have access to the large deck where can enjoy the porch swing as you marvel at the beauty of the best sunsets in Alabama. Use the charcoal grill on the deck there to cook your dinner.  There is also a fireplace in the common area downstairs and upstairs on the main inn level as well.

A Continental breakfast can be enjoyed each morning consisting of coffee, fruit, juice, muffins and similar Mentone Mountain View Inn guest breakfast favorites such as cheese grits and hash brown casserole.

Unlike many Bed and Breakfasts, you can enjoy your breakfast it wherever you like– privately in your jammies while in your suite, on the deck, or upstairs on the main inn level with the other guests and your host. No matter where you decide to eat your breakfast, it will be enjoyed.

You have choices on how you want to spend your time here. Some couples want to just enjoy each other in the privacy of their suite. Some couples interact with the other guests or come upstairs to the main inn level to visit with the hosts. Notice– you can come and go privately at your own convenience; a separate entrance for the Inn guests is provided. There are several common inn areas that you can venture out into and eat your breakfast or have it in your suite to eat at your own table or carry it outside to enjoy the morning air on the deck reveling in the three state mountain view and the pastoral peaceful valley below. Fresh mountain air with the brisk brow wind will refresh and rejuvenate you. The swing on the deck beckons while sipping your favorite beverage all the while enjoying the glorious sunrises and amazing sunsets.

For the rest and relaxation of all guests who are “getting away from their children,” we would ask that that children not accompany parents.

Due to being a mountain edge location with no space or yard for children to play in and the house itself being an “adult only” style, we suggest that the facility is not recommended for children of any age.  Please look at some of the larger cabins for rent on our Mentonecabins.com website that would be better suited to families with children.

Any discount rental specials applicable such as AAA or the $109 two night rental special are not applicable in October nor any calendar holiday time frame.  We are unable to apply any discounts on one night rentals. Gift certificates and return guest discounts are good at any time.
